Hi. My name is Carole Hicking, currently voted as chairperson for the PPG. I have experience in general practice as I worked for 27 years as Practice Manager at a practice near Doncaster. I joined the Willingham surgery PPG to have a patient voice; to understand the ever changing services in general practice. As a PPG member I promise to be pro-active on behalf of patients of this practice, to support the practice to monitor and improve services.
I’m Alison. My husband and I have recently moved into Lea Village. I am retired from my career as a teacher and university lecturer where my area of expertise was special educational needs. I have three children and seven grandchildren and enjoy family times, walking and DIY and my husband and I are also keen musicians. Last year we returned to the UK after spending 14 years living in France. I am excited to be part of our practice PPG.
Hello , my name is Doug. I am a retired mechanical engineer and I have lived in Stow for over 40 years. As well as my involvement in Willingham by Stow PPG and other voluntary positions, I also volunteer for a charity that specialises in designing and making/adapting, special equipment for people with disabilities, when suitable commercial equipment is not available.
My name is Sue Holtby. I moved to Willingham almost 35 years ago and have lived in Sturton by Stow for the last 29 years. I retired in 2013 ,after doing my nurse training and over four decades of health visiting – the last 15 years as a specialist health visitor for children with disabilities. I welcome the opportunity to be part of our Patient Participation Group ,working with the practice staff and practice population to improve communication and services.
